Case #1: Major DoD Fuel Terminal Remediation - Los angeleS

Bulldog Green Remediation's ("BGR") bioremediation technology was successfully implemented at a former bulk fuel terminal in an urban region of Los Angeles County, California. This project involved remediation of nearly 100,000 tons of hydrocarbon-contaminated soil. The animated flyover below shows the demolition and remediation process using BGR's sustainable, on-site green remediation proprietary technology.

The project's original plan was to excavate and dispose the soil at a landfill. By using the BGR green soil remediation technology, the remediation team was able to clean the soil on-site, and reuse (backfill) the soil. This prevented thousands of trucks from driving through the local community (a residential, working class community) and significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions. A portion of this cleanup property was converted to a park for the local community.

Case #2: Former DoD Fuel Storage Facility - L.A. Harbor

        PROJECT OVERVIEW

Bulldog Green Remediation (BGR) successfully completed the on-site remediation of approximately 70,000 tons of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil at a former Department of Defense (DoD) bulk fuel storage and logistics facility located in San Pedro, within the Los Angeles Harbor area.

The 300+ acre site was impacted by historical releases of petroleum hydrocarbons from underground storage systems. Due to the scale of contamination and its location within a densely populated urban corridor, the project required a solution that was safe, cost-effective, environmentally responsible, and operationally efficient.

BGR's green, on-site bioremediation technology was selected as the preferred approach over conventional "dig-and-haul" disposal and slower in situ remediation methods.

        SOLUTION & EXECUTION

BGR implemented an on-site biopile treatment system, enabling controlled, accelerated biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons within engineered soil treatment cells.

        This approach allowed for:

        • Full on-site treatment, eliminating the need for off-site disposal
        • Accelerated remediation timelines compared to traditional in situ methods
        • Controlled, measurable treatment performance

Following treatment, the soil was successfully restored to meet or exceed all applicable regulatory standards and was reused on-site as backfill, supporting sustainable site redevelopment.

Los angeles Harbor Project: KEY OUTCOMES & BENEFITS

        Environmental Impact

        Regulatory & Community Success

        Environmental Impact

        • Eliminated the need for over 5,000 truck trips through surrounding urban neighborhoods
        • Avoided approximately 2+ million pounds of greenhouse gas emissions
        • Significantly reduced community disruption, traffic risk, and environmental footprint

        Cost Efficiency

        Regulatory & Community Success

        Environmental Impact

        • Delivered an estimated $1.0 million cost savings (~25%) compared to conventional excavation, transportation, disposal, and import of clean backfill
        • On-site treatment and soil reuse eliminated disposal fees and reduced project logistics costs

        Regulatory & Community Success

        Regulatory & Community Success

        Regulatory & Community Success

        • Achieved full regulatory compliance for soil reuse
        • Minimized public opposition by avoiding large-scale trucking and landfill disposal
        • Supported long-term redevelopment potential, including conversion to public open space/parkland
